Family style - (food placed on the table in large bowls for self service)
French Service or Butler Service - These are very formal styles of service in which guests are served individually from a silver tray held by the waiter. In French Service, the waiter places the food on the guest's plate using a serving fork and spoon, in Butler Service the guest is handed the utensils and makes his or her own selections while the waiter holds the tray. Both are highly skilled styles and the hourly rate for these servers is higher than for other styles of service.

Pantry Staff:
Pantry staff are kitchen utility workers. They work what we call the drop, which is where the dirty dishes are brought back to be washed or, if rented, rinsed and re-crated according to the rental company's directions. Generally Pantry Staff are needed for larger events with rental equipment. For a small in home party you probably don't need them, as the Waiters and Bartenders will take care of the Pantry duties for such parties.
